1930s French oyster basket

Constructed from a steel frame and woven galvanized zinc straps, these baskets were once used to gather and transport oysters and mussels.

Now we think they make the perfect all purpose basket—use in the garden or shed for tools, pots, or even as a planter; in the kitchen it makes a wonderful little storage basket for the counter or pantry; on the table it can hold napkins, jars of cutlery or condiments; and around the house use for books, or stylishly stash away toys when not use.
