Fra Angelico, born as Guido di Pietro, was an Italian painter of the Early Renaissance period, renowned for his exquisite religious artworks. Born in the late 14th century, Fra Angelico entered the Dominican order and took his vows, earning the name "Fra Giovanni da Fiesole" or "Brother John of Fiesole."

His mastery in capturing the divine radiance and heavenly atmosphere earned him the title "Angelico" or "the angelic one." His art embodied the ideals of the Early Renaissance, blending naturalism with a sense of awe and reverence.

Fra Angelico's contributions to the world of art continue to inspire and captivate audiences, leaving a lasting legacy as one of the most significant painters of his time. Printed in Italy 1968. Sourced from a brocante in Aix-en-Provence.
