A rare pair of vases from the renowned “Pivoines” design by Gien, one of the foremost French ceramic houses.

Combining elegance and artistry, the vibrant and colorful peony patterns are executed with precision and beauty. Entirely hand painted, they illustrate the richness of details and delicate art that characterize Gien's creations. The hallmarks on the underside indicate they were produced between 1970-1980.

Part vessels, part true works of art, they are incredible pieces with a rich history, ready to be cherished again.

While in beautiful vintage condition, please note signs of wear to both bases, which does not affect the integrity of the pieces. Please also note one of the vases has had a repair to the base but is fully watertight, and the price reflects this.

Sourced from an estate in Aix-en-Provence.

dimensions: 10.5” and 11.25” high; 7” wide with handles; opening tapers from 3.25” to 2.5” diameter; 4” diameter base

They have such great products I could not stay away. I don't live near their store so I did not expect to be able to purchase furniture online at a decent shipping rate. I was so happy to see that the shipping rate was amazing and the customer service even better. I highly recommend them and will most likely purchase from them again!
