The 1985 deck of the "Tarot de Paris" is a faithful reproduction of one of the earliest known French tarot decks, originally dating back to the early 17th century. Published by Editions Dusserre, this edition carefully preserves the deck’s historical engravings and intricate medieval-style artwork.

Unlike the more standardized Tarot de Marseille, the Tarot de Paris features unique variations in its imagery, reflecting a transitional period in tarot history before designs became uniform. The deck includes the traditional 78 cards with a distinctive hand-drawn aesthetic, making it a sought-after piece for collectors, historians, and tarot enthusiasts interested in authentic pre-Marseille tarot traditions.
