A petite and quietly beautiful vintage table lamp with a turned green alabaster base in soft celadon and cream tones, connected by a brass collar to what appears to be an original shade in aged vellum with a marbled pink and cream surface and a delicate metallic braid trim at the upper and lower edges. The combination of cool stone, warm brass, and the translucent organic shade gives this lamp a singular, collected quality that no new lamp could replicate. Rewire it and place it on a bedside table, a writing desk, or a dim corner shelf where its warm glow can do its best work. Sourced from a brocante in Avignon.
