We have started a new obsessions with vintage French porcelain match strikers. They are not easy to come by! Once used to hold matches and light them on the ridges, today use as a jewelry holder, for a candle, or simply as a decorative piece on its own.
This particular advertising match strike, circa 1900s, would have been given by Eau de Noix Cabanés to bistros, restaurants and cafes to promote their brand. A stunning, large piece with gorgeous colours, and a unique history.
