Anton Marzi and Simon Peter Remy began their business venture in the cozy town of Höhr in 1879. The following year, they ventured into crafting pewter goods alongside their main work. By the late 1800s, Marzi & Remi had become a bustling workplace, employing over 100 people.

Their factory soon gained fame as a top-notch stoneware producer in Germany. Fast forward to 1927, when the reins of the company were passed down to Werner Remy, Simon Peter Remy's son, and Otto Buhler.

Sadly, in 1994, the factory shut its doors for good.

The maker's mark on this pottery dates the pieces to 1964. This set includes 2 pitchers and 4 matching cups. Sourced from a market in Munich.
