A 19th-century lithograph printed by Becquet Frères of Paris, depicting a horse and dog in full gallop across open ground — the draughtsmanship loose and energetic, capturing movement over detail. Becquet Frères were a well-documented Parisian print house active between approximately the 1830s and 1860s, known for their crayon-drawn hunting and equestrian scenes. The print bears a publisher's inscription lower right. Framed in a handsome tortoiseshell-effect wood frame with inlaid banding, the grain deep red and amber throughout. Sourced from a brocante in Marseille.
dimensions: 8.25"W x 6.25"H x 0.5"D
