19th century French mahogany semainier cabinet

A handsome flamed mahogany 19th century “semainier”, derived from the French word “semaine” (week). This is because traditionally this cabinet would have been used to store a week’s supply of clothing, lingerie or undergarments, with a dresser assigned for each day. 

Gorgeously crafted with heirloom quality, it features a flamed mahogany veneer, black marble top, carved wood locks and working locks and key. 

With ample storage space, it could be used in a bedroom, living room, or dining room for endless storage and styling.

Please note the key is used to open all the drawers.
