This stunning wingback chair with its superb patina and color, was hand-upholstered in sheepskin leather in Holland by the finest craftsmen at the end of the 20th century.

Handcrafted construction and quality materials make this chair a true work of art, rather than just a piece of furniture. A fantastic piece for any space, whether modern or traditional.

The design and craftsmanship of sheepskin furniture was perfected in Holland and spread to other Northern European countries. In terms of construction, the frame of sofas and chairs was initially built from mahogany, the preferred hardwood, then covered with 100% natural sheepskin. This type of hide was carefully selected and preferred to cowhide because of its durability and uniqueness, giving each piece a beautiful, rich, creamy patina. By the end of the 19th century, a small number of models had become classics, repeated over and over again, with individual modifications made by designers and manufacturers. These subtle modifications can be seen in the variations in size, choice of materials and even the invisible interior construction.
