Adorn your table with an exquisite platter made by Creil et Montereu procelain, the result of a merger between the Creil and Montereau factories in 1840. Originating in Creil, France, in 1797 and Montereau in 1819, these factories initially produced earthenware and later porcelain. Their combined entity became celebrated for crafting high-quality dinnerware, tea sets, and decorative pieces with intricate patterns and scenes. These ceramics enjoyed international recognition and were exported widely.

However, by the late 19th century, increased competition and changing tastes led to a decline in their prominence. Today, Creil et Montereau porcelain pieces are treasured collectibles, reflecting their historical significance and craftsmanship.

The Maker's mark dates these plates between 1876 and 1920. They are classic, timeless, and elegant. Sourced from a brocante in Marseille. Sold individually.
