Antique French zinc bathtubs were commonly used in rural French homes, where they were prized for their lightweight, durable qualities. Zinc, a material resistant to corrosion, was ideal for outdoor use and water exposure, which made it perfect for bathtubs.

This tub features a typical oblong shape with smooth, curved edges and a rolled rim. The natural patina that developed over time gives a distinctive, weathered look. These tubs are versatile; think planters, garden decor, or even repurposed in eclectic interiors. Sourced from an estate in Aix-en-Provence. 

Note the signs of age and wear as pictured. This tub is not currently waterproof. There are chips and cracks which can be seen in photos. The tub remains durable.
